World Indoor Championship is an indoor track championship where athletes participate in various kinds of races and athletic sports. Jakub Krzewina of Poland broke USA’s record in the 4x400 meter race in which four athletes have to participate with each runner passing a baton for every 100 meters. Evergreen Lavillenie of France, on the other hand, won his third title in the 5.90 clearance hurdle by defeating players from US and Poland. He also broke the previous record of 5.85 meters. Local boy Andrew Pozzi also impressed everyone by winning the 60 meter hurdle race for the first time in his career. Players like Ivana Spanovic and Yomif Kejelcha of Serbia and Ethiopia also won gold medals respectively.
Indoor World Championship happens only once in two years and its popularity seems to be increasing , when we look at the number of countries that are participating every year. There is no doubt in our minds that it is just a matter of time, when it will become as popular as Olympics and will soon reach developing countries in Asia and Africa also.
