The 88th Geneva International Motor Show kicked off on March 6, at Geneva in Switzerland. Car makers from all over the world are showcasing the best of their design and technology. This year more and more environment-friendly models were unleashed for the world to see.
The Geneva Motor Show is one of the biggest auto events in the world. It witnesses the participation of almost every major manufacturer of cars not only in Europe but also from all over the world. There are a host of interesting new displays, launches, concepts and unveils that preview what the automotive world will look like years from now. This year, the auto show is full of new cars running on future technologies which could help in the fight against global warming. Renault, the French car maker has come up with its futuristic model called EZ-Go. This is a self-driving, electric vehicle with 6-seat capacity. Some of the really cool options are: on-demand pickup just like in taxis, a rooftop opening which can be used by people to enter by a ramp, etc. Popular car maker Mercedes Benz also rolled out its newest electric concept car called EQA, which has one of the most compact battery to fuel it. This car also has a virtual radiator that can change appearance depending on the driving program. Volkswagen, the German car leader showed off the I.D Vizzion, which is a large electronic sedan. Do you know that this amazing future car does not have a steering wheel! Volkswagen calls it the “smart device on wheels”.
Isn’t it amazing to see how the different carmakers are coming up with such incredible technology and developing such concept cars? The best part of it all is that this could be hugely helpful in battling global warming'>global warming. These cars could be the best alternative to the use of fossil fuels. Imagine, how the world is going to change once these concept cars take over the market.
